Ypres and the mud of Passchendaele
The Third Battle of Ypres in Belgium started at Messines in June 1917 and ended with the capture of the village of Passchendaele later in the year. Our Chairman, Steve Williams (who has been visiting the Ypres Salient since 1992) presents an illustrated talk about the five-month campaign in which many local men fought and died.
